About Jean Hunsinger,

Cancer Coach, Healing Touch Practioner, Reiki Master

Jean provides coaching, Healing Touch, Reiki and mind/body skills training to people with cancer. Her approach starts with the philosophy that curing and healing are not synonymous. Curing is equated with an expert fixing whatever physical problem is present, while healing is done by the individual and can take place on many levels, e.g., physical, spiritual, mental, emotional.

Working collaboratively with clients, Jean will explore options for optimal healing on all levels. Options might include things like nutrition, acupuncture, meditation, exercise, energy or body work, spiritual direction. There is no limit on what can be explored. Beyond cancer, life style changes can be addressed for a full life and optimal health after treatment. These same options can also benefit those facing end of life issues.

Jean provides coaching and energy work for the caregivers of those with cancer. Caregivers are often much in need of support and help while they provide support for their loved one. Options for self care and information to share with their loved one can be discussed.

Jean’s work is based on personal experiences with traditional cancer treatment of a family member. While the treatment was state of the art and offered with kindness and compassion, her family was left asking “What else can we do? What other options are there for healing during and beyond the cancer experience?” Coaching Beyond Cancer was created out of the need to help others find the answers those questions.
